Scenario 1 - ABC Company has a Microsoft Exchange server in the office. Although the owner loves her Exchange server (shared calendars, shared contacts, etc) she is concerned about sky rocketing maintenance costs due to the pounding that Exchange is getting from viruses and SPAM. Enter ACS email services!
We direct ABC's incoming emails to our server. Our powerful software removes viruses and identifies SPAM (tags) before forwarding to ABC. Employees receive a notice when a virus has been removed AND they can easily sort SPAM messages into a junk folder based on our tagging method. Their junk folders are configured to purge after a few days which allows enough time to review for any legitimate emails that were incorrectly tagged.
Unfortunately, ABC Company has had other problems with bounced emails. Each year they generally have a few "downtimes" due to problems with DSL or work on the server. Emails would bounce back to the senders when ABC was not online. Not Anymore!
ACS queues all messages whenever the ABC server is offline and as soon as service is restored, the ACS back-up server releases all of the stored emails automatically.
Scenario 2 - Company XYZ does not use an in-house email server. They prefer to have ACS host their company's email. In other words, we catch all incoming emails and scrub them free of viruses and explicitly identify SPAM. Employees then download their messages directly from our server.
